How can one drink have 6% of your daily intake of calcium and 98% of your daily intake of saturated fat without being melted butter? It can if it’s made by Krispy Kreme.
Not being a frequent customer of Krispy Kreme, I heard Dennis Miller talking about this drink on the Daily Show. Not being a fan of Dennis Miller lately, I looked up this donut in liquid format for myself.
Our signature taste, which defines our Original Glazed doughnuts, is captured in a creamy, frozen blend. This drink is rich with just the right balance of flavor and sweetness. Add coffee and it’s like having our coffee and a glazed doughnut swirled in your cup!
Maybe just throw those two things into a blender. So, the hidden nutritional information (pdf files hiding in tiny pop-up windows) reveals that the large size of this fantastic drink is 730 calories. It has 98% of your daily intake of saturated fat. If you put about four tablespoons of melted butter into your coffee each morning, you might get more out of it.
Starbuck’s White Chocolate Frappuccino® blended crème – whip actually beats the Krispy Kreme Konkoktion by 30 calories. 760 calories for the Venti size with 21 grams of saturated fat. This is all the saturated fat you need…in one day…in one cup. Sure, it’s a big cup with classy branding. But, no one’s making jokes about the expensive Starbuck’s milkshake on The Daily Show.

who says I’m on notice…… you are on notice!
Coming incredibly late to the party but I thought you might be interested…
Apparently Starbucks had a seasonal drink last year called
Chantico that was essentially liquid, melted chocolate. It puts the Frappuccino to shame. While a Venti Frappucino is 24 oz with 21 grams of fat, this Chantico stuff is 6 oz with the same fat content. Ew.
Why do I know this? A friend of mine was lamenting that he wouldn’t be able to partake this holiday season. I think his arteries will thank him.
Also I can’t type at a fast pace and apparently can’t close my tag properly. Sorry about that.
Oh, I too loved the Chantico. It was like a chocolate bar melted into a shot glass.
